Day 2: Kigali to Gisenyi
After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to Gisenyi, located on the shores of Lake Kivu. This trip takes about 3 hours. Upon arrival, check into a charming lakeside hotel, such as Lake Kivu Serena Hotel or Paradise Malahide Hotel, where you can relax in comfort without overspending. Spend the afternoon lounging on the beach, swimming in the lake, or kayaking. In the evening, enjoy a sunset boat ride on Lake Kivu, followed by dinner at a lakeside restaurant.
