Day 5: Nyungwe to Akagera National Park
After breakfast, set out on the journey to Akagera National Park, located in the eastern part of Rwanda, known for its rich wildlife and stunning landscapes. The drive to Akagera takes approximately 6 hours, offering beautiful views along the way. Check into your accommodation, like the Akagera Game Lodge or Ruzizi Tented Camp, which offer a comfortable and immersive experience. In the late afternoon, go on a boat safari on Lake Ihema, where you can spot hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of bird species. Enjoy dinner at your lodge, surrounded by the sights and sounds of the African wilderness.
